How to Format JSON Online

Pretty-print messy or minified JSON in your browser. FreeToolMate formats locally so API payloads and configs are not uploaded.

Steps

1. Open the JSON Beautify tool.
2. Paste raw JSON or load a .json file.
3. Choose 2, 3, or 4 space indent.
4. Click Beautify to format, or Minify to shrink.
5. Copy the result back into your editor or API client.

Why format JSON?

Formatted JSON is easier to review in pull requests, debug nested API responses, and spot missing commas or braces. Minified JSON is better for production payloads and smaller file size.
