Privacy and data protection

Privacy Policy for Free Tool Mate

Free Tool Mate provides browser-based developer tools for JSON, XML, SQL, text, encoding, images, calculations, and more. Our tools are designed to process your input locally on your device.

How your data stays on your local machine

When a tool supports local processing, your text, code, token, image, or other input is handled by JavaScript in your web browser. The result is calculated on your computer or mobile device instead of being uploaded to a remote database. This means sensitive development data can remain in your browser while you format, compare, convert, validate, or calculate.

Free Tool Mate does not intentionally store tool input, tool output, uploaded images, or generated results on our server. Closing the page or clearing the form removes the active working data from the tool interface. Your browser may still keep its own history, cache, or local browser data according to your browser settings.

How the online tools work

Each tool page combines a simple interface with browser-side code for a specific task. For example, the JSON formatter parses and formats JSON, the Base64 encoder converts text locally, image tools use browser capabilities to process images, and calculators perform calculations from the values you enter. The exact behavior and supported formats are described on each tool page.

Some pages may load static website files such as CSS, JavaScript libraries, and fonts. These files support the interface and functionality; they are not a copy of the data you enter into a tool.

What you should avoid entering

Although these tools are built for local processing, do not paste passwords, private keys, production credentials, personal health information, or other highly sensitive data unless you understand the risks of using any web browser. Always verify results before using them in production systems.

Third-party services and links

The website may use static third-party assets, such as Bootstrap or web fonts, to display the interface. External services may process standard browser requests such as your IP address according to their own policies. This site does not sell your tool input or create user accounts for these tools.

Advertising consent

Where required, Google's certified Consent Management Platform asks visitors in the European Economic Area, the United Kingdom, and Switzerland whether they consent to advertising cookies and related data use. You can choose Consent or Manage options. Your choice is stored by Google and can be reviewed or changed through the consent controls.

Contact form

The Contact Us page is the one exception to local-only processing. When you submit that form, the name, email, subject, topic, and message you enter are emailed to admin@freetoolmate.com so we can reply. We do not use the form to upload files, and we do not store tool input from JSON, PDF, image, or other utilities. Do not include passwords, private keys, or confidential documents in a contact message.

Privacy questions

If the implementation of a specific tool changes, its page should be updated to explain that behavior clearly. For the most accurate information, read the privacy note shown beneath the tool you are using. You can also contact us with a privacy question.
